The Heritage Fund working with 'Erfgoeddoel'

11th of July 2016

The Heritage Fund is taking part in the Erfgoeddoel campaign (« Target Heritage »). This initiative has been launched by FARO, a Flemish cultural platform, which aims to promote patronage in support of heritage. Twenty-seven museums, archival centres and heritage libraries are working together to conduct an awareness campaign regarding all forms of philanthropy.

Our museums, archival centres and heritage libraries together manage a treasure of inestimable value: our heritage.

What do they do with all of these works of art, books, documents and photos? They do everything necessary to ensure that our knowhow and our culture can be transmitted to future generations and made accessible, studied or simply admired with peace of mind.

This heritage is ours; it belongs to each and every one of us. And it is together that we must harness our efforts to transmit it to others. Non-stop care and attention are required. Yet every day, the financial challenges associated with doing so become a little more difficult. Cultural institutions count on your help and support to reach the objective we have set ourselves.

Private individuals as well as businesses can help support the efforts to hand down our heritage to those who come after us.
