Théodore van Loon illuminates the BOZAR

11th of October 2018

Discover the masterpieces of Brussels artist Théodore van Loon at the BOZAR. Support from the René and Karin Jonckheere Fund and the Baillet Latour Fund has enabled the light of yesteryear to be returned to this exceptional heritage!

"L'adoration des bergers" (The Adoration of the Shepherds), a major work from the Abbaye du Parc, has been restored, thanks to the intervention of the René and Karin Jonckheere Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. This Fund devotes itself to the conservation and restoration of works relating to the European dimension of Brussels.

Five further works by van Loon, preserved at the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste-au-Béguinage and at the Carmelite Convent in Brussels, were also scheduled to be exhibited in this first retrospective devoted to Théodore van Loon. They too have been able to find their former brilliance, thanks to the Baillet Latour Fund, which works for the preservation, restoration and promotion of major works of Belgian heritage.
