L'écorché

The Belgian artist Louis Van Lint (1909-1986) was co-founder of the movement La Route libre and from la Jeune Peinture belge. At the beginning of his career he adopted an expressionist style, but he then moved towards a more abstract style. In the early 1950s, Van Lint took part in some of the CoBrA movement’s events, but from the mid-1950s he moved resolutely towards lyrical abstraction.
