Collectors and art enthusiasts alike will welcome the opportunity to discover the wonderful selection of treasures from Namur’s museums that will be exhibited at Antica Namur from 10th to 18th November. The event is an initiative of the City of Namur, with support from the Pierre François Tilmon Fund and the King Baudouin Foundation.
This year, the 4th study day, traditionally organised in mid-October by the Laubespin-Lagarde Fund, had as its theme the management of ancient arboreal heritage. Initiated as part of the restoration of the Gardens of Freÿr, these study days aim to share knowledge relating to gardens.
Restoration and an interactive presentation using new technologies will bring new life to the model of Antique Rome at the Museum of Art and History in Brussels. The Alexis Liénard Fund is supporting the preservation of this remarkable element of our heritage, which each year attracts thousands of visitors!
Thanks to impressive restoration work, supported by the Richard Forgeur Fund, a very rare element of our architectural cultural heritage has regained all its former splendour and been returned to its original setting.
