Pozzo collection on display in Germany

6th of December 2021

No fewer than 209 tiles from the Pozzo collection will be on display in Boizenburg, Germany, as part of a unique exhibition on French tile production during the 19th and 20th centuries.

In 2017, Roberto Pozzo donated an impressive collection of almost 9,000 tiles to the King Baudouin Foundation to ensure their long-term survival. His collection represents a true scientific reference on European production techniques.

The Erstes Deutsches Fliesenmuseum in Boizenburg, Germany, is dedicated to showcasing the various facets of European tile production for the general public. No fewer than 209 tiles from the Pozzo collection have been selected by the museum to illustrate the development of French tile production between 1840 and 1950, with particular emphasis on their collaboration with German factories. It's a first for Germany!

The collection will be on display until 10 September 2022.
