Little by little, since 18 May, our museums have been opening their doors to the public again. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to discover some of the new works that have come to join our collections.

Previously unseen images of King Leopold III of the Belgians on the Pyramid of Cheops were unearthed during research undertaken by historian Jean-Michel Bruffaerts while preparing a biography of Jean Capart, the famous Belgian Egyptologist.

The Irène Heidebroek – Eliane van Duyse Fund has exceptionally recompensed two projects for young people and museums. This is excellent news for the culture sector during this period of crisis.

The Plateforme pour l’Education et le Talent is supporting 8 young artisans who will represent Belgium in heritage skills at the international Euroskills 2020 competition.

Godelieve Vroom, lacemaker and specialist in antique lace, has donated her collection of 16th to 20th century lace to the King Baudouin Foundation. The collection will be entrusted to the MoMu (Fashion Museum) in Antwerp.
