We wish you a happy new year !

This book of hours bears witness to the great quality of illumination in 16th century Ghent. Thanks to the Léon Courtin-Marcelle Bouché Fund, the book is now on show at the STAM in Ghent.

The Foundation’s collection is in demand for this new space in the heart of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. It bears witness to the central role of Brussels in artistic creation at the end of the 19th century.

On Monday 18 November, the not-for-profit association « Espace René Carcan » launched the René Carcan International Prize for Printmaking. The Belgian watercolour artist and engraver René Carcan worked tirelessly to promote the art of engraving, but also the training of talented young artists.

The exhibition Fabulous tales of beasts and men opened at the Musée Provincial des Arts Anciens du Namurois on 14 November. Two children’s rattles from the Michel Wittock Fund are among the exhibits, as well as a bishop’s crook from the Trésor d’Oignies.
