This year once more, the Heritage Fund will present its recent acquisitions at the BRAFA: works by Philippe Wolfers and Edgard Jacobs, Art Nouveau ceramic tiles and a unique view of Brussels during the 17th century. Come and see them at our stand between January 27th and 4th February 2018!
ADAM [the Brussels Design Museum] is currently showing an exhibition that traces a century of modern design in Belgium. It begins with work typical of the Art Nouveau style, notably Victor Horta’s renowned desk from the King Baudouin Foundation’s collection. Until 7 January 2018.
A number of works from our collections are the stars of current temporary exhibitions, notably at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts in London, as well as in our own museums here in Belgium.
For the 10th year in succession, the Foundation is exhibiting some of its works at the BRAFA. Come and discover a unique painting by the young Anthony van Dyck and a self-portrait by Jordaens. This year, the Foundation has also been invited to host the BRAFA Art Talks at its stand. From 21st to 29th January.
Whilst three other pieces from the Treasure of Oignies are already exciting visitors to the Metropolitan Museum of New York, the famous mitre that belonged to Jacques de Vitry is also currently being exhibited at the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
