Promotion of Belgian Egyptologist Jean Capart’s historical heritage, with a view to promoting the historical and scientific aspects of Egyptology in Belgium.
Research in contemporary history, musical education, assistance to the underprivileged. The primary objective of the Fund is research in contemporary history. As such, the Fund has created a 'Jean Vanwelkenhuyzen' chair at the ULB. In the field of Heritage, the Fund also finances an annual study scholarship for a student in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
Philanthropists support projects aimed at the study, preservation, acquisition and promotion among the general public of (art) works and documents of importance to history, art and archaeology in the Province of Namur.
