The Middelheim Museum, in collaboration with Middelheim Promotors vzw and the King Baudouin Foundation, organizes the Middelheim Museum Young Artists Prize. The reliquary of the rib of Saint Peter, which is part of the Treasure of Oignies, is the focus of a research project on saints’ relics dating from the first century. Analysis of a microscopic sample extracted from the reliquary should enable the relic to be dated and provide information about its origins.
