Acquisitions

The Foundation acquired this prestigious, early 15th century book of hours, which is typical of the pre-Eyckian output of workshops in Bruges during this period. The work has been entrusted to the Groeninge Museum as part of its permanent collection.

As part of the project to restore the Hôtel de Biolley, the Summa Villa Fund has acquired 3 works by the intimist Verviers artist Armand Funcken (1846-1916).

This book of hours bears witness to the great quality of illumination in 16th century Ghent. Thanks to the Léon Courtin-Marcelle Bouché Fund, the book is now on show at the STAM in Ghent.

The brother and sisters of Didier Comès, one of our greatest cartoonists, wished to preserve their brother’s work. The King Baudouin Foundation came to their aid.

The Léon Courtin-Marcelle Bouché Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation, has purchased a remarkable commemorative pipe, a rare example of Belgian miniature silverware.
