Acquisitions

The Léon Courtin - Marcelle Bouché Fund has just acquired 31 stained glass window prototypes, made in the 1970s. The glass windows, which are in an abstract geometric style, were originally destined for the Church of Saint-Hadelin in Celles, in the province of Namur.

The original score of the only opera composed by Henry Vieuxtemps, La fiancée de Messine, has been acquired by the Manoël de la Serna Fund of the King Baudouin Foundation. The work had sunk into oblivion.

The Pierre-François Tilmon Fund has acquired a collection of 18thcentury black earth earthenware crockery. This exceptional and unique collection from the Namur region will soon be on show in Namur.

Thanks to the King Baudouin Foundation, a masterpiece of 17th century European sculpture is returning to Brussels. Sculpted in white marble, Charité was created between 1673-78 by Jan Van Delen as a commission from the Counts of Tour et Tassis for their chapel at the Sablon Church.

The Pierre-François Tilmon Fund has acquired a statue of Saint James Major. This Medieval work dates from the 16th century and is attributed to Maître de Waha.
